Show the art of grate-fullness....this is what I try to do and to bring my children up to do...be grateful for everything. Good, bad and ugly, because as so many of us find out this is what shapes us!
We are all guilty of focusing on the negatives at some points, I mean we wouldn't be human if we didn't. But sometimes we become to hung up on all the negatives and not the positives, the positives are what make us pull through the negatives!
So, to help my children realise how grateful they should be for life and what life gives them, I created a little mini book that they can fill in and I can add it to their memory box. I'm hoping that looking back on this when they do really have hard times, they will realise that everyone has things to be grateful for.
I used some papers that came free with issue 62 of Scrapbook magazine this month. I loved the soft, feminine, spring like colours and was instantly inclined to use Jenni Bowlin's inks along side them! They complimented the colours beautifully. I used papertrey ink's Gratitude journal stamp set and a little bit of the postmarks stamp set. I cut the card from papertrey ink's button card die and off I went.

I wanted to keep it simple and focus on the words, the little word stamps in these sets worked perfectly for the project I wanted to create.

I punched some mini butterflies from a really old wood ware punch (but I still adore it) and added a few little extra touches, such as pearls, twine and my beloved distress ink!
Ive made another one to put up in my Etsy shop :-)
So this weekend, I will be teaching my children the art of gratefulness whilst we have a family scrapping saturday !
What are you grateful for?
hugs and stuff
