day 3
Day 4
Day 5
As i said in my previous post about December daily, I am keeping it really simple as I know If I don't I will not keep up with it! So its all about telling a story. Ive used repeat products throughout, which are mainly Papertrey ink and have repeated the same format for each day !
So far I am on track! for a change! HA HA

So a lady contacted me on Etsy to create a baby album for her adopted daughter. Her husband didn't want it to be too girlie but the wife wanted lots of shabby chicness...hmmm how to find a balance.
So I kept the colours quiet neutral with a splash of purple, used a bit of shadow stamping as well as normal stamping, added lots of phrases and a few pearls and viola! I used embellishments in groups of 3 to symbolize their family and included saying on the corner of each page..
The album was then bound and tied together with seam binding ribbon in a gorgeous pale brown.
I hope they love it !

I have a love hate relationship with this program, sometimes it comes easy, others I pull my hair out for hours on end to achieve the look I'm working for!
Ive always loved design, digital, hand made, anything. This programme allows me to be free, there is so much you can achieve with it! Although I am not a digital scrap booker, I do use digital elements and actions on my photos to help create a unique and memorable image!
this is one of my favourites, i'll post the un edited version below. I used the canon f1.8 II lens. I then cropped it at little, added a texture, added some glow, changed the colour using a florabella action from her black and white set and voila...
So whats your opinion? fix it up or enjoy the natural look?

Today the parents returned from a month long stint in the states, and they came bearing gifts...erm excited much as I received a canon f.18 lens which I have been after since I got my new dslr!
Wow, im in love, this lens is fantastic for a beginner like myself! I turned it on and shot to my hearts content without leaving auto and I am mega excited (can ya tell?) I mean if I get this in auto I cant wait to play in manual! .....
obviously I added a bit of magic on photoshop ;-) with some colour effects but the lens itself gave me a gorgeous depth of field and is just what I need to capture portraits of my babies!
On another note, December daily is gong well, I am actually keeping up . Today we wrote letters to santa, think I was over excited about this also! I will share the weeks contents tomorrow, to keep the posts to a minimum! It will be picture heavy so be aware.
I'm excited forthe kids to be back a to school tomorrow (over use of excited I know!) as I am up to date with work and hopefully orders permitting I may very well spend the day making some very muchly needed and neglected scrapbook layouts! After all I have hundreds of photos now! I might have to put some into minis !
Anyway

So I joined the hype *rolls eyes* and purchased a smash book. Why? I am a scrapbooker after all...well because I find I have ticket stubbs, little notes, cards, finger paintings that dont alwats make it into my albums! I am planning on doing project life in 2012 so that may be a solution, however, im loving that i can just stick and go with little information and its mega cute! Ive just ordered a second to make my wedding planning smash book!
I got the blue retro one to start...
I love it, the pages are well very retro ;-) Ive already started with a page full of my sons bits like his first valentines card, temporary passport from his school trip and a little note he wrote me! and its feels great to know that im keeping the bits that so often i forget about whislt I am scrapbooking.
I will share some pages when I am done ! so do you smash??

EEEKKKK its here, its December, and its only 24 more days until I can see my babies excitment!
So here as promised is day one of my journal...
I captured all three of my babies opeining their advent calendars this evening and it for me was the perfect way to start my documenting!
my apologies for the lack of lighting, its it rainign hard here and already very dark and the kids will not let me have 2 minutes and so lightbulb images it is :-)
This is the front of my first page, cut from a Kerri Bradford studio design on my cricut using sure cuts alot. Little bit of martha stewart bling glitter and some bakers twine! I sprayed all my numbers for my dates with studio calicos white mr huey to give it a snow fall effect and I love it !
This is followed with a piece of A5 vellum to soften the images behind them.
This is another ali edward template, love these! place photo, resize, group, bam...done! Just what I need to be able to complete this project! ease!
next comes the journaling, another ali edwards template for December daily and embellished with papertrey ink stamps a bit of glitter bling again and a strip of decorative crate paper christmas design paper!
whallah! Done hehe. Day 1 accomplished, finished, put together and it feels good! I love capturing the essence of Christmas! its just magical!
Thought I'd share my favourite picture of the moment with you...
This photo is over 2 years old, however I found the original (below) and wanted to make it magical for a cover of a photo book of my bambino. Edited with a few florabella actions and a paint the moon texture, finished off with a little ali edwards magic!
original...
it was already perfect to me without the editing ;-)
Anyway thats me for today hugs and stuff
